The day begins at Bury Bolton Street Station with a mixture of informal training and “hands on” photography takes place on the platform. Expert tuition will be given in camera modes, techniques, composition and post-production and will be tailored to your specific requirements.
A light lunch will be provided before boarding a Steam or Diesel train to Irwell Vale for on location photography. You will get the chance to photograph the trains, station and scenic surrounds of this lovely landscape.
After returning to Bury station via the train you will be taken behind the scenes of the ELR to areas not ordinarily open to the public. Here you can get up close to the engines and see how they are maintained and repaired. The tour finishes with an informal debrief and a brief review of some of the images taken throughout the course.
