Beyond Beginners Photography Courses will take your skills to the next level
Our new Beyond Beginners Photography Courses are ideal for people who have been on our Beginners Photography Courses and want to take their skills on to the next level or perhaps you haven’t been on one of our courses but you already familiar with the basics of aperture, shutter speed and ISO and how they work together.
We are often asked by customers choosing which course is best for them and there is quite a gap between a beginner and the kind of skills we go through on our Intermediate Photography Courses.
This gap is what the Beyond Beginners Photography Courses is there to fill.
The course will typically cover the following skills and topics:
- Shooting in fully Manual mode.
- Developing your skills of composition
- Dealing with more challenging light conditions such as backlighting, high contrast and low or poor light
- Showing how different lenses can be used for particular effects
- Showing you how to do simple edits in Photoshop Elements
- A challenge on the day to find and shoot an image against a brief
- Review and critique of your images
The format of the day is consistent with our other photography courses – no more than 6 people on the course so that you get close attention from our tutor and you feel relaxed and can enjoy the day alongside other photographers like you who have similar skills.
We will spend the morning in our private classroom area in our venues – either the Pack Horse Inn in Birtle or the Spread Eagle Hotel in Lymm Cheshire.
Over a tea or coffee (all refreshments and a sandwich lunch are included in the price) we will explain the techniques that you will be putting into practice in the afternoon.
After a quick review of the morning’s work and a bite to eat we will spend the afternoon putting theory into practice by going out and about and giving you a theme to work to.
We will return to our classroom towards the end of the afternoon to review images and discuss what has worked for you and answer questions.
