New Photoshop Beginners courses in July – Saturday 4th and 18th.
After running successful Photoshop beginners courses in Bury in January over four Saturday sessions the clear feedback from delegates was that they would prefer an intensive Photoshop Bootcamp course which took all the learning points and delivered them in a single full-day session.
So we have answered that need with our new courses.
Our beginners Photoshop courses will introduce you to the potential of editing images using Photoshop and really accelerate your confidence in handling what is an incredibly powerful but sometimes daunting editing system.
Our intensive one day course takes place in a private classroom at the Transport Museum in the centre of Bury. There is free parking and it is very close to the transport interchange. The venue is fully accessible and refreshments and a sandwich lunch are provided.
Beginners Photoshop Courses Content
This course is for those who are beginning to use the Photoshop software but want to learn how to use it to its potential. At the end of the course you will have learned the following Photoshop skills
- Be familiar with the Photoshop user interface and environment
- Using layers and smart sharpen
- Understand the ways to select part of an image
- Create simple compositions through blending
- Painting and retouching image tools
- Image resizing for print and web
- Layers and text adjustment
- Preparation of images for printing
The course is taught by our professional photographers who are highly experienced in Photoshop, using a variety of methods and materials. There will be practical experience alongside tutoring. These will be supported by tutor demonstrations, handouts and materials. Included in the price is a comprehensive Photoshop guidebook.
You will be asked to bring one or two images with you on a USB stick that you would like to work on and we will work as a group taking the images from originals to desired effect.
It is essential that you bring your own laptop with you with Photoshop already installed.
After the course you will be invited to join our post course support group which is a private Facebook group where you can pose questions and share your work with others who have attended a North West Photography Courses workshop.
